Accident in SW Miami-Dade Results in Injured Children

Two small children suffered serious personal injury in a car accident in Southwest Miami-Dade when they were thrown from their vehicle after a devastating collision. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon when a Mercedes SUV, heading east on SW 256th Street, failed to yield right of way at an intersection and crashed into a Toyota traveling southbound on Krome Avenue. The force of the impact caused the front of the Toyota to collide with the side of the Mercedes, resulting in the toddlers being ejected from the Toyota in which they were passengers. Emergency services responded to the accident scene quickly, and the toddlers were airlifted to Kendall Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
