CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA: A gun was accidentally discharged in a Coral Gables restaurant on Tuesday night, resulting in one person being hospitalized. An off-duty officer was present, and police are investigating the incident to determine what happened leading up to the shooting. The incident occurred at Sushi Maki on Ponce De Leon Blvd around 8:45 pm. Police have not confirmed if the gun belonged to the off-duty officer or another individual. On Wednesday morning, the surrounding area was closed off as police continued their investigation. Several people were present in the restaurant at the time of the incident.
