Crash in North Lauderdale Leaves 7 Injured

1 Adult and 6 Children Injured in North Lauderdale Two-Car Crash

NORTH LAUDERDALE, FLA. – A road in North Lauderdale was shut down following a crash that injured one adult and six children.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) reported that at around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, a 911 call came in about a crash involving a van and a Toyota 4Runner at Southwest 81st Avenue and Southwest Seventh Court.

BSO and North Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to the scene. Paramedics transported one adult and six children to local hospitals. The van’s driver sustained minor injuries and was transported as a non-trauma case.

Inside the Toyota were two adults and six children. The children, who were reportedly unbuckled, were ejected from the vehicle. First responders transported them as trauma alerts despite their injuries not appearing to be life-threatening.

The investigation led to a temporary closure of both northbound and southbound lanes of Southwest 81st Avenue near Southwest Seventh Court, but the road has since reopened. Aerial footage from a local news source revealed two severely damaged vehicles with debris scattered across the road.
