- Space Coast: Further south, I-95 passes through the Space Coast region, home to the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral. This area is significant for both tourism and the aerospace industry.
- Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches: I-95 continues through the Treasure Coast, including cities like Vero Beach and Fort Pierce, and then into the affluent Palm Beaches. This segment serves many residential communities and beach destinations.
- Fort Lauderdale and Miami: As the highway approaches the densely populated South Florida region, it runs through major cities like Fort Lauderdale and Miami. This portion of I-95 is characterized by heavy traffic and numerous interchanges that connect to other major highways and local roads.
- Southern Terminus: I-95’s southern end is in Miami, where it transitions into U.S. Route 1. Miami is a major economic and cultural hub, and this section of I-95 is one of the busiest in the state, supporting a high volume of local and tourist traffic.

I-95 in Florida is known for its high traffic volumes, particularly in the urbanized areas of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. The highway has undergone numerous expansions and improvements to accommodate growing traffic demands, including the addition of express lanes in certain sections to alleviate congestion.
Safety and Challenges
