Fire in Hialeah Building

The Perazzo Law Firm

Hialeah, Miami-Dade: An 82-year-old woman who lived in a house in Hialeah had to leave her home after a fire broke out in a shed nearby and spread to her residence. The firefighters were able to put out the flames, but they declared the building unsafe with a red sticker. The elderly homeowner, who was alerted by her dog, was helped out of the house by a neighbor who also saved her pet. Her son will take care of her while she looks for a new place to live. The woman’s other son, who sometimes stays in a structure behind the house, is missing, and the family is concerned about him. The cause of the fire is unknown, and there were no reported injuries. The firefighters left the scene after extinguishing the fire.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning, around 3 a.m., in the East First Court and 34th Street area of Hialeah. Emergency crews quickly responded to the scene to extinguish the blaze, which had spread from a nearby shed to the woman’s home. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and officials are investigating the incident.

The elderly homeowner was fortunate to be alerted to the danger by her dog’s barking, and a neighbor was able to help her out of the burning building, along with her beloved pet. However, the house has been deemed unsafe for occupation, and the woman is currently displaced, with her son stepping in to offer her a place to stay temporarily.

Unfortunately, the woman’s other son, who sometimes stays in a structure behind the residence, is currently missing, causing great concern for the family. They are hoping for a positive outcome and have asked for the public’s help in locating him.

The family’s situation is made even more challenging by the fact that the house had no insurance, leaving them uncertain about how they will rebuild and recover from the devastating loss.

Despite the challenges, the community has come together to support the family during this difficult time, offering their prayers and assistance in any way possible. The firefighters, who worked tirelessly to put out the flames and ensure the safety of the surrounding area, have been praised for their quick and effective response.
