A woman who was apprehended following a pursuit on I-95 that culminated in a rush-hour collision in Hollywood appeared before a judge in Miami the following day. Thirty-four-year-old driver attended her court hearing on Saturday morning, presided over by a Miami-Dade Circuit Judge who set her bond at $8,000.
The driver stands accused of evading law enforcement at a high rate of speed and resisting arrest.
The crash on Friday led to the closure of all northbound lanes of I-95 near Hollywood Boulevard for several hours. Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol reported that they had attempted to initiate a traffic stop due to the suspect’s reckless driving, but she fled the scene.
As a result of the collision, one individual sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
