A police investigation was initiated in Southwest Miami-Dade following a hit-and-run incident where the victim resorted to gunfire against the driver who had hit their vehicle upon returning to the scene. Feeling threatened, the victim discharged a firearm at the driver. The hit-and-run driver sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Jackson South by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue in stable condition. Two individuals, including the alleged victim, have been detained, with uncertainty regarding potential arrests or charges. Due to the incident, the eastbound lanes of 72nd Street are currently closed as authorities conduct their investigation.
