Hit & Run Leads to Fatality on I-95
In Miami, authorities are in pursuit of the driver of an SUV who tragically struck and killed a tow truck driver on Interstate 95, leading to closures in the southbound lanes. This unfortunate incident unfolded around 4:35 a.m. near State Road 112.
Collision Details
The tow truck driver had pulled over on the right emergency shoulder to assist a disabled white Cadillac in the southbound lanes. However, a passing gray Nissan SUV collided with both the tow truck and the driver who was outside aiding the Cadillac. The collision resulted in the tow truck driver sustaining fatal injuries. Subsequently, the SUV driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, leaving the victim deceased at the scene. As of Saturday evening, law enforcement is continuing their search for the driver responsible for the hit-and-run, who remains unidentified and at large.
