NORTH MIAMI-DADE, FLA. – A quiet morning turned into chaos when a van lost control, plowed through parked cars, and crashed straight into a home, leaving six people injured—three of them in critical condition.
According to Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies, the crash occurred around 5 a.m. Friday on Northwest 119th Street. Witnesses say the white passenger van crossed the median, smashed into two parked cars in a driveway, and barreled through the home’s garage door, finally coming to a jarring stop inside the residence.
Surveillance footage captured the terrifying chain of events, showing the van veering off course before wreaking havoc. Emergency responders, including Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, swiftly arrived on the scene, providing critical care to the victims. Aerial footage from local news outlets revealed paramedics tending to patients, with at least one person being stretchered away for urgent medical attention.
Authorities confirmed that all passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital, where three remain in critical condition. The full extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
As the morning unfolded, the van was towed away, leaving behind a scene of devastation. While the garage door bore the brunt of the impact, initial reports indicate that the home’s structure remains stable.
For several hours, westbound lanes along 119th Street near I-95 were shut down, but traffic has since resumed normal flow.
