Early Morning Accident Claims Lives
Khyree Jackson, a talented rookie cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings, tragically died in a car accident early Saturday morning. At only 24 years old, Jackson’s sudden passing has left the NFL community in shock and his team and fans in mourning. The crash in Prince George’s County, Maryland, also resulted in the deaths of Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Lytton Jr.
Details of the Crash
According to the Maryland State Police, the fatal crash involved three vehicles: a maroon Dodge Charger, a silver Infiniti Q50, and a silver Chevrolet Impala. The accident occurred around 3:14 a.m. on Saturday. Jackson, who was a passenger in the Charger, and Hazel, the driver, were declared dead at the scene. Lytton Jr., who was in the back seat of the Charger, was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Initial Investigation Findings
Police suspect that Cori Clingman, the driver of the Infiniti, caused the crash while trying to change lanes at a high speed. The Infiniti collided with the Charger, which then hit the Chevrolet. Clingman’s two passengers were uninjured, as was the driver of the Chevrolet.
The Role of Alcohol
Authorities have suggested that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. As the investigation proceeds, charges against Clingman are pending. This tragic event highlights the dangers of reckless driving and the potential influence of alcohol on driver judgment.
