Tragic Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Off-Duty Hialeah Police Officer in Homestead
Confirmation of Officer’s Passing
The Hialeah Police Department took to Instagram on Thursday to confirm the tragic loss of an off-duty police officer. He had succumbed to injuries sustained in a traffic collision earlier that day, after being transported to a local hospital.
Law Enforcement’s Show of Support
Around 10 p.m., local news cameras captured officers from various law enforcement agencies gathering outside the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office to demonstrate their support. They gathered as the officer’s body was being transported from the hospital to the medical examiner’s office.
Final Journey
Approximately an hour later, the procession escorting the officer’s remains passed by a news crew on Bob Hope Drive, just before reaching the medical examiner’s office.
