SOS CUBA – March in Hialeah / Marcha en Hialeah
HIALEAH, Fla. – SOS Cuba demonstrations continued thru Thursday and into early Friday along the eastern portion of the Palmetto Expressway in Hialeah. Those on hand and protesting for the liberation of Cuban were there in support of a dream shared by many Cuban Americans residing in not only Miami-Dade, but throughout out the country.
HIALEAH, Fla. – Las manifestaciones por parte de grupo denominado SOS Cuba continuaron hasta el jueves y la madrugada del viernes a lo largo de la parte este de la autopista Palmetto Expressway en Hialeah. In attendance during the Thursday SOS Cuba march was Carlos Hernández, the Mayor of Hialeah, who is a Cuban-born immigrant from the city of Camagüey that grew up in the Miami-Dade city of Hialeah. According to Hernández, it’s vital for people to express how they feel with regards to what is happening in Cuba, as well as to prevent accidents and injuries among SOS Cuba activists, especially near the Palmetto Expressway.
Durante la marcha del jueves SOS Cuba estuvo presente Carlos Hernández, alcalde de Hialeah, un inmigrante nacido en Cuba de la ciudad de Camagüey que creció en la ciudad de Hialeah en Miami-Dade. TRAFFIC STOPPAGE AND HIGHWAY MAYHEM
SOS Cuba activists took to the Palmetto Expressway to express their concerns and frustrations for what has been happening in Cuba for the past 50 years. Sadly, parts of the Palmetto Expressway has been blocked-off by SOS Cuba supporters since Tuesday when the protests began. The affected areas of the Palmetto Expressway include both ways at Coral Way in the vicinity of Westchester and the southbound lanes at West 49th street.

AVOIDING ACCIDENTS DURING MANIFESTATIONS AND PROTESTS
When large crowds gather on highways or in spaces adjacent to avenues or motorways, motorists and pedestrians run high risks of falling victim to an accident.
