NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. – One person is in custody following a hit-and-run involving a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputy in Northwest Miami-Dade.
The crash occurred Saturday night near Northwest 22nd Avenue and 87th Street. According to authorities, the incident began when a man driving a stolen vehicle at high speed collided with an unmarked car driven by a Miami-Dade deputy.
After the crash, the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended shortly afterward and transported to the hospital. Fortunately, the deputy involved in the crash sustained no injuries.
