Wrongful Death Car Accident Lawyer in Miami

A 15-year-old driver from Hialeah, Florida, is set to face adult charges in connection with a tragic crash that claimed the lives of two women and injured another. He is accused of multiple offenses, including two counts of vehicular manslaughter and three counts of driving without a license. Authorities revealed that the vehicle’s black box data indicated the driver was traveling at 83 miles per hour just moments before the collision, in an area where the speed limit was 30 miles per hour.
The tragic car accident took place near Southeast Fourth Street and Fifth Avenue around 8 p.m. Detectives stated that the car accident driver at fault had taken his father’s car for a joyride with two 15-year-old companions.
The fatal victims in the other vehicle have been identified as a 39-year-old woman and her aunt aged seventy-one. According to initial reports, he was driving southbound without stopping and collided with victim’s car at an intersection. However, police obtained video evidence indicating that the victim’s vehicle had come to a complete stop at a stop sign before entering the roadway. His mother remains in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center. The two other teenagers who were with the at fault driver in the car have not been publicly identified. Authorities noted that fault could potentially lie with both parties, but the investigation is ongoing.
While the victim’s family declined to speak on camera, they announced plans for a news conference on Friday to ensure that the teen driver faces consequences for his actions.
The at fault driver could potentially receive a sentence of up to 45 years in jail, as stated by Hialeah Police Lt. Eddie Rodriguez, who confirmed that the State Attorney’s Office has opted to charge him with two counts of vehicular manslaughter and three counts of driving without a license resulting in death or bodily injury. Moments before the crash on Tuesday night, police reported that the driver at fault was speeding in his father’s Nissan.
