U-HUAL TRUCK USED IN ABDUCTION SITUATION
According to police, individuals utilized a U-Haul truck in the abduction of a man, with the victim managing to signal a bystander for help while the vehicle paused at a McDonald’s in Sweetwater.
In Sweetwater, Florida, two men and a woman were apprehended by law enforcement following an incident described as an abduction that originated in West Miami-Dade. The ordeal concluded after a detour at a McDonald’s, where an employee dialed 911.
Miami-Dade Police reported that the 33-year-old victim received a summons to rendezvous with a female acquaintance in a parking lot near 93rd Avenue and Flagler Street around 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Investigators revealed that the victim initially harbored no suspicions regarding the meeting spot or the U-Haul utilized by the woman until he observed her accompanied by another Hispanic male.
“Upon realizing the presence of an additional Hispanic male with her, he became alert. Subsequently, the Hispanic male assaulted the victim, striking him, before putting him into the U-Haul truck,” stated a MDPD Detective.
