A man has died as a result of an industrial accident that occurred at a pharmaceutical company located in Deerfield Beach, according to reports by local Deerfield Beach authorities.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue (BSFR) responded to the scene of the accident which happened on Thursday afternoon at 1020 Northwest Sixth Street. The fatal accident occurred when a piece of industrial machinery fell on the accident victim and trapped him underneath the fallen object.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), the accident victim’s coworkers used a forklift to free him from underneath the piece of machinery. He was then transported to Broward Health North in critical condition. Sadly, the accident victim later passed away at the hospital.
While homicide detectives are investigating, BSO stated that no foul play is suspected and that the incident was an accident. The victim’s age has not been released.
